Travelodge UK Customer’s Q&A
Travelodge UK FAQs
About Travelodge.co.uk Payment Method?
At Travelodge.co.uk, all bookings are pre-paid at the time of booking unless otherwise stated on their website. For those who have an eVoucher, it can be applied during the booking process. After reaching the payment screen, there is an option to 'Apply eVoucher', which will deduct the value of the eVoucher from the room rate. For business travelers, there is a Travelodge Business Pay option. This is an expense management solution that offers interest-free credit for up to 6 weeks. It allows pre-payment for all Travelodge expenses including room, WIFI, Food, and Drink. It also provides a monthly consolidated invoice and online account management services. It's free to apply and there is no annual fee. To apply for Travelodge Business Pay, one needs to be a Travelodge Business member. Membership is free and offers a guaranteed 5% off all flexible rate bookings.
Travelodge.co.uk Return Policy?
Travelodge.co.uk has a booking policy rather than a shipping policy. When a booking is made via their digital channels or telephone booking service, these terms and conditions apply. The booking is referred to as a Flexible Rate, Saver Rate, Group Booking, or a booking of Extras. If ten or more rooms are booked for the same night, this is treated as a Group Booking. All these types of bookings are covered by these terms. The booking is not transferable, meaning it cannot be transferred or resold. If an attempt is made to transfer or resell the booking, Travelodge may terminate the booking and retain any money paid for such booking.
As for the return policy, a Flexible booking is a refundable rate. If the booking is cancelled before 12pm (noon) on the date of arrival, a full refund will be provided including the room cost and any extras, but not including any WiFi or any booking fee if applicable. In case of unexpected and unavoidable situations and external conditions, if Travelodge cancels your booking, a 100% refund of the booking will be given to the card you paid with. The refund includes accommodation charges, food and beverages, and other booking fees.
Travelodge also offers Room Cancellation Insurance. This insurance provides cover for loss of room booking and pre-paid breakfast, dinner, pet charges, early check in and late check out expenses arising as a result of specified events that occur before your trip or if you have to abandon your trip due to delayed departure. The insurance is underwritten by Atlas Insurance PCC Limited transacting for its Travelodge Cell. The purpose of this room cancellation insurance policy is to provide cover for room only expenses and pre-paid breakfast, dinner, early check in and late check out costs which you have paid to Travelodge and which you cannot get back, if it is necessary and unavoidable for you to cancel your trip for specified reasons.
Please note that all bookings are pre-paid at the time of booking unless otherwise stated on their website.
About Travelodge.co.uk Prices and Cost?
Travelodge.co.uk offers two main types of rates: Saver Rates and Flexible Rates.
The Saver Rate is a great value option for those who plan their stay in advance and don't mind paying upfront. These rooms are non-refundable and non-transferable, but can be amended for a £10 amendment fee. The price for these rooms can be as low as £35.
On the other hand, the Flexible Rate is ideal for those who need more flexibility in their plans. These rates allow customers to cancel for a full refund or make fee-free changes to their booking, up to midday on the day of arrival.
It's important to note that room prices are set dynamically depending on the level of demand. The higher the demand for a room, the higher the price is likely to be. Generally, the lowest price rooms are sold well in advance and will not be available close to the date of stay. Therefore, by booking as early as possible, customers are more likely to get the best value stay. In some cases where demand drops, prices may drop too. In addition, Travelodge may occasionally run promotions and discounts, which may result in a lower price being made available.
All rates are subject to availability at the time of booking and must be paid for at the time of booking using a credit/debit card, Apple Pay or PayPal.
Travelodge also offers a Price Finder tool that allows customers to compare multiple Travelodge rooms in various hotels and date ranges, ensuring they always pay the lowest price possible. On average, guests save 20% on room rates using this tool.
